James J. Dinsmore, CFP®, CLU®, LUTCF®, joined Evergreen Wealth Solutions in 2017, and he works with individuals, families, and businesses. As a wealth manager, he learns what is meaningful to his clients now and in the future. Together with the planning resources of Commonwealth Financial Network® and Evergreen, he develops financial plans to best suit each client.

    As a high school baseball coach my purpose is to develop life skills while helping young men become better playing a game they love. It is important to be one of their teachers who prepares them for life’s challenges. Working with my clients is a similar experience-develop a life plan based on client’s goals, navigate the challenges and work together with our clients to help them live their idea of a successful life.

Jim has more than 34 years’ experience in the financial services industry with Liberty Mutual Group as an insurance agent, and he has worked independently as a financial advisor where he helped clients protect and build their assets. He enjoyed a successful career at Liberty Mutual and built long-term relationships with his clients. His leadership helped the Montoursville, Pennsylvania, office win many awards, including Office of the Year, and he enjoyed mentoring other agents throughout the country.

Jim is a lifetime and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table*, which is recognized worldwide as a top association for financial advisors. He is a 20-year member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, a member of the Financial Planning Association, a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and a board member on the Northcentral Pennsylvania Estate Planners Council.

Jim graduated from the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University in 1982. Jim Dinsmore He is immediate past-president of the Montoursville Rotary Club, and he was recognized as Hope Enterprises’ Person of the Year in 2014 for his work with Hope and the Liberty Mutual Invitational Golf Tournament. He supports numerous local events and charities and is pleased to be at EWS, which also embraces the role of philanthropy in clients’ lives and is committed to implementing strategies that align with clients’ fiscal and personal objectives.

Outside the office, Jim and his wife, Susan, enjoy time with their sons, Ian and Joseph. Jim enjoys live music and outdoor activities (including hiking and golfing) and is a high school baseball coach. He resides in the Williamsport area.

*Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent membership organization of life insurance and financial service professionals. Membership levels are based on commissions, premiums, or fees generated within a year from investment and insurance products. Members must apply annually and pay a fee. CFP® - CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ The CFP® designation is offered and recognized by the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards, Inc. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of full-time personal financial planning experience. Certificant holders must complete a CFP®-board registered program or hold one of the following designations; CPA, ChFC®, CLU®, CFA®, Ph.D. in business or economics, Doctor of Business Administration, or an Attorney’s License. Certificants must also successfully pass a 2-day comprehensive examination and complete 30 hours of continuing education credits every 2 years.

Chartered Life Underwriter®, CLU® designees have completed eight or more college-level courses representing an average study time of 400 hours. Topics for required courses include insurance and financial planning, life insurance law, estate planning, and planning for business owners and professionals. Elective courses include such advanced topics as income taxes, group benefits, retirement planning, and health insurance. CLU® designees must meet experience and continuing education requirements and must adhere to a high ethical standard. The mark is awarded by The American College, a non-profit educator with the top level of academic accreditation.

LUTCF – Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow. The LUTCF designation is offered and recognized by The American College and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). To earn the LUTCF, candidates must a) complete six courses, one of which is ethics, and b) be a member of a local association of NAIFA.
